Longitudinal Experiences ...

Type of Experience How Structured Amount of Time
Vascular Neurology Ward 4 months
Vascular Neurosurgery Ward 1 month
Neurocritical Care Ward 1 month
Neuroradiology Exposure to all modalities of CNS and vascular imaging 1 month
Neuroendovascular Involvement in all aspects from procedure to post-procedural care 1 month
Neurorehabilitation Involvement in care of stroke patients during the rehabilitation phase (may include both inpatient and outpatient activities) 1 month
Vascular Neurology Outpatient Clinic each week to follow patients encountered through wards and call One half-day clinic each week all year at UWHC. There will also be two half-day clinics each week at the VAH during the 3 elective months, depending on the demands of the elective.
Elective This time will be tailored to the interests of the fellow and may include clinical, educational, or research activities 3 months
Vascular Neurology Emergency Care On call for Acute Stroke Team

Daytime hours during Vascular Neurology (4 months) as well as night call throughout the year.
